Catherine Qian

Catherine first attended GSMUN as an 8th grader from Moody Middle School and has since been a part of the treasured institution as a vice-chair and chair. She has attended many conferences over the course of her high school career but always looks forward to this March weekend the most. In addition to Model UN, Catherine is the captain of the Quizbowl team, an intern at McGuireWoods, a volunteer for Music Orchard and her local library, a big sister to her little brothers, and president of Young Democrats, TJ History Honor Society, National French Honor Society, and MUS. Truth be told, more of her time is spent staying busy with enjoyable extracurriculars instead of the homework she should be doing; however, in the precious fragments of free time that remain, Catherine finds joy in Leonardo DiCaprio movies, food, Bertrand Russell's philosophy, and anything by F. Scott Fitzgerald.
